In 2021, two brothers established Colbuilt LLC in the Quad Cities, marking the beginning of a venture that would soon grow into a significant player in the land management industry. Their initial investment in a skid steer significantly improved the efficiency of their construction projects, especially in tasks like rough and final grading and spreading topsoil. The company's growth trajectory led to the expansion of their machinery fleet, including the addition of another skid steer and a forestry mulcher. This diversification allowed Colbuilt LLC to offer a variety of land management services, including land clearing, removal of small trees and brush, forestry thinning, and driveway construction.

The founders quickly identified a widespread need for reliable and conscientious land service providers, a realization sparked by their interactions with local builders, developers, and homeowners, often during casual encounters at gas stations. These interactions highlighted the challenges many faced in finding land services contractors who were not only dependable but also careful not to damage surrounding properties.

In 2020, responding to this gap in the market, Colbuilt LLC began extending its range of services to the public. This included land clearing, forestry mulching, grading, and other skid steer-related services, addressing the needs of both residential and commercial sectors.
